In the early seventies, Mrs. Miller broke from the major record labels and went out on her own. She was determined to make it with straight material and a new image. Two 45 singles were released on her own label- Mrs. Miller Records, but the sales were disappointing. Mrs. Miller eventually disappeared from the spotlight.

In fact she died.

Beth Gibbons and Rustin Man - Mysteries
Nouvelle Vague - In a manner of speaking
Portishead - Roads
Apollo 440 - Pain in any language

All absolute corkers. Just thinking about them now makes me wanna

Oh absolutely.

I was out shopping for new school uniform for my other children before school went back and we'd been for the dresses and trousers and I was thinking in my head how I wouldn't do this with Anastasia then we went to the shoe shop and they were playing the Disney CD and that Peter Pan song came on. I wanted to leave so I could cry but I couldn't so had to sit through it.

Ugh.

I was in a pub once ( sober ) when a certain record came on and set me off. My wife hugged me as the tears poured down my face and then we both started smiling and remembering.
Then the most incredible thing happened when the barman refused to serve me as he thought my behavior was not inkeeping.
I did`nt even begin to explain.

On Top of the World by the Carpenters
My Nana asked me to sing it at her funeral, which I only managed to do by avoiding looking at any member of my family and staring at the ceiling. The old bag! Now I cant hear it without sobbing - which makes people look at me oddly as it's an upbeat tune!
Nana - I'll get you for that!
