No thanks. Why emulate a song that man utd sing at them?

Did they? United can have good songs to be fair (their away fans). They also used to sing "Hv you won the treble have you fck". Which as the sole reason for supporting Liverpool for most of their fans is because they are supposed to win things was a pretty good shout.

I know I would enjoy it more if we managed to sing songs about our team rather than pathetic efforts about the opposition.

This is asking for trouble and I would not want to be any part of such a childish song.

Yes that's right, childish songs, that have a dig have no place in football. The worst thing I have ever heard was "Peter Beales" being sung at the Peter Beale lookalikes at West Ham. All the 3000 Brighton laughing and west ham laughing too was just a terrible thing. We should have worn a jesters hat and taken a balloon instead..

If everyone shared that view, we would have the least spontaneous, least original and least humourous array of songs in the league, and get outsung at every match. It doesn't HAVE to be grossly offensive, but songs aimed at particular teams/cities/regions, winding up opposition fans and players are what gets everyone going. Everywhere other than Brighton, apparently.

Its never our fault,
Its never our fault,
We're whineing Scousers,
Its never our fault"

Am looking forward to singing this:-

Sign on, Sign on,
With a pen in your hand
and you'll never work again,
you'll never work again.

Hardly original i know but always makes me chuckle. I've waited years supporting the Albion to go mix it with the big boys of English football. So lets bring some banter and as many balloons as we like and have a cracking day out. Its Liverpool away in the Fifth round of the FA cup.

Like yesterday... one small group of spotty teenagers singing 'We pay your benefits' to another equally small group of spotty teenagers. Hilarious.

After Poyet's comments I suspect there will be a fair amount of goodwill towards us up there next Sunday. By aqll means lets have banter but I see no reason to wind them up on this very loaded subject.

No thanks, songs to support our team and not have a go at Liverpool. Lets show our class and support our team and not have this small team mentality its so crap. Liverpool supporters will show us respect and we should do the same.

Are humourous chants having a dig?
