Gulls and Rooks most excellent work of the last time we played Donny Rovers on a proper Brighton & Hove Albion home ground.

For those with limited time, you might want...

Part 2; 6m 30s: THAT goal.
Part 3; 6m 30s: The final final whistle at the dear old Goldstone

I said it before but the club should (if they already haven't) ask for permission to use this footage of storers goal 5 minutes before the players come out.

Do you remember the days when those half-time scores were posted on the wall with alphabetical letters. You had to look up in your programme which letter referred to which game and an old boy would come out with those cricket scoreboard type metal numbers and you'd wait with baited breath to see what he put down. Not everything was better in the old days.

thats the day I got home and one of my neighbours who used to wear a bobble hat waved at me and lifted his hat to show a rather large piece of turf
I miss the Goldstone and the people I stood with who are no longer with us
Falmer is now our home and come on the Albion

I totally agree. As I think I said before when you said it!

I was at the ground today and they were doing a run-through of the PA system and big screen and they played a montage of footage from the end of the Goldstone to last Saturday and THAT goal was on it. Obviously they may not be planning to show it tomorrow and could jus have been testing the screen.

Amazing videos. I was standing very close to that point, will have to have a closer look for myself at some point.

Amazing scenes, too young to ever go to the Goldstone, didn't help that my dopey father supported Arsenal  this sort of thing really gives me a taste of what things were like for those old enough to go to and take part in games, protests and various different things involving the Goldstone.

Great to watch that again from the core of the North Stand. I was in the West stand for that game, certainly were great days, miss that place very much. Thanks for posting that...

the fact that bananas were thrown at their big man on that day is still my only sour memory of an Albion crowd at the Goldstone - never saw it before, never seen it since

For me, the roar when we scored was only outdone by the final whistle at Hereford... classic scenes - lets hope the Amex is just as loud tomorrow
