All I cold hear in relation to him was boo-ing.Out of interest, how well did the Cucurella chant come across, hopefully loud enough for an apology!

Like Leeds you mean? This is the issue, isn't it.
We're not the only club that suffers from this, but we're nowhere near the best at overcoming it either.
When the atmosphere falls flat after uninspiring events on the pitch, it quite clearly affects the level of performance from the players.
If we were the type of fans that could generate an atmosphere constantly and spontaneously, it would certainly result in more success on the pitch.
The noise really ratched up in added time. For once we were not methodical and slow. Hence the goal?Oddly I think the way we play can have an adverse effect too. It's very methodical and often a bit slow. Doesn't make for a blood and thunder atmos...
Surely we can make a chant out of this:
I didn't know that!Is it just a coincidence or are you aware that they've just announced new Red Dwarf is coming our way in 2025.
Smoke me a kipper...
That's easy for you to say, from your lofty perch in West UpperThe North Stand is plenty large enough to create loads of noise. It holds more than the South, which regularly creates a decent noise. The issue is that half the people in the NS don’t sing and half of those that do sing just seem to mumble also apologetically. If the 2,500 or so in the NS all sang loudly and in unison we’d have a cracking atmosphere.
Another of the thoughts I’ve posted on here before, I wonder if the seats in the North being cheaper means people looking to get a season ticket have opted for the cheap option, but only being recently match going fans they aren’t natural singers. Maybe we need to look at creating a cheaper area (e.g. SW corner) to draw that traffic away from the North? The North Stand is plenty large enough to create loads of noise. Right, this old chestnut (for the umpteenth time)Surely moving the away end closer to the north would create a better atmosphere?
True. But on Palace Day there will be coked up Herberts everywhere. And on every other day there will be gobshite away supporters in the home seats.Allow bottle tops. Allow flasks. Allow people to pass on tickets to friends/family without having their season tickets confiscated, and without having to pay for the 'privilege'?
All those might help a bit ...............................
We could get some guy with a megaphone to stand facing the north stand coreographing our singing and clapping .
Even Bellingham does it for Real MadridForget it. It is what it is.
Even Arsenal players do the arm wavy business.
Atmos would improve only with a doubling or trebling of the North. IMO
My idea isn’t quite so attractive ..but Cucurella to play for every opposition team when playing at The Amex…..and Salisbury to ref every game ………hmm…maybe stick to the strippers.Maybe we should get some strippers out on the pitch before the game to warm the crowd up.
I concede this may not fit with the family friendly vibe that the club's going for. Although it's arguably more family friendly than my previous idea of threatening to shoot the first person who stops singing.
Fans respond to action on the pitch. An exciting game, a rubbish referee, and/or goals, and the atmosphere follows.
When we beat Wolves 6-0 last season it was a truly awful atmosphere, probably the worst of the season. We've been watching the best football played by our club in it's history over the last 2 seasons yet the home atmosphere has been largely dogshit.Oddly I think the way we play can have an adverse effect too. You aren’t ….sure there were some quiet phases….as was the away support…which untithey got there second were quiet …..i lost most of my voice…..although mainly down to calling the ref a dickheadI'm probably the only one but I thought last night, given the reduced attendance, was actually decent. Really don't get these people that get a bee in their bonnet about home atmosphere.
No, it hasn’t. Don’t exaggerate. When we beat Wolves 6-0 last season it was a truly awful atmosphere, probably the worst of the season. We've been watching the best football played by our club in it's history over the last 2 seasons yet the home atmosphere has been largely dogshit.
Tosh.I'm sorry, but the AMEX atmosphere is worse that the WIthdean. Even our away support is no longer as loud as it used to be.
