Really though, that shoe looks fooking awful.
Some Irish twat chucking up on them on paddies day would improve that color-scheme.

Am I alone in not knowing that 'Black and Tan' was in any way offensive to anyone?

put it this way, an Oliver Cromwell lookalike going into a bar in Ireland wearing an orange shell suit could only make things worse by ordering a black and tan

For those not aware of its Unionist connotations:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_and_Tans

And the lyrics of the rebel song Come Out Ye Black and Tans make it pretty clear how meaningful this is to Republicans:
Come out, ye Black and Tans;
Come out and fight me like a man;
Show your wife how you won medals out in Flanders
Tell her how the I.R.A. made you run like hell away
From the green and lovely lanes in Killeshandra.

Seems pretty clear that these are the sort of references a US corporation should steer well clear of!

I knew about the Irish thing, but it's also a name for a (nasty sounding) drink comprised of stout & pale ale.
