Wonderful press for AITC. Quick and decisive action taken to a troubling incident.

Many thousands of people take part in, and benefit from, AITC. They can't vet each and every one before they take part.

Agreed - seems AITC have acted decisively in suspending the goons.

And together with a sensible and mature response from the President of the Islamic Society, there is nothing here for the press or certain goons on here to get excited about.

Community schemes such as AITC are designed to embrace people with social issues and to support their understanding of and developing their role in society. "Issues" are part and parcel of such a scheme's very purpose and should (and I'm sure will) be used as part of that ongoing educational process. What an exemplary response from the President of the Islamic students society and his members echoing that intent and offering to participate in it. Let's hope that between the two organisations they have the success they deserve.

Dealt with it well, and maybe even there's an opportunity to do something positive out of it.

Not bad press at all. Swiftly dealt with and shows AITC in a positive light that the action was taken quickly

I think we should all apologise and, furthermore, identify NSC users who are also likely to chant and pop balloons outside other prayer centres.

You don't see many balloon poppers at the Amex so they should be easy to spot!!

I know exactly what happened with this. It has been poorly reported. The club have thrown out one person, who has been particularly unlucky as all he did was step on a balloon. IMO he has been used as a pawn just so the club can say they have done something. Nobody shouted ISIS anything. The lads were just going to the shop to get some food, there was a balloon floating across the road that one of them trod on and they all carried on. The club rightly suspended all of them until the investigation was complete but there was zero proof that anyone did anything. The chap in the mosque didn't even see anyone, just claimed he heard someone shouting it. The whole thing was someone making a mountain out of a mole hill. The chap chucked out has been dealt a very unfortunate hand in this instance.
