The length of his contract will have an impact. If it's reasonably lengthy, Bournemouth might use it to build up his value. Who knows, might even be a release clause.
What we do know about Gyokeres is that he forms a good partnership with Connolly.
My instinct is to not buy Solanke or any other striker you could term as a speculative investment in potential, as Gyokeres. If we find someone who is more than this and would clearly add to our matchday squad or starting XI straight away, get them in.
If we can't, give a squad place to Gyokeres (not sure if he needs one due to his age or not) and see what he can do.
The other moving part in this is Andone. The club will consider ... When will he be fit? Can he and should be rehabilitated into the squad? ... but I understand there's a thread for that
Apparently he was knocking off one of the other player’s wives, and his colleague used to watch whilst cracking one off into a Kleenex as DS did some BDSM with his missus.
Solanke Spanky Hanky Panky Wanky
Has Solanke done anything to even warrant a thread about him? He reminds me of that geezer that Southampton signed, who claimed to be George Weahs brother (or something like that).
Let's leave him at Bournemouth, and let them drown in the over payment of wages and transfer fees that they have committed to.
Jesus wept.
Just like our pages on here because our new player was distantly related and shared the same Surname........Bergkamp!

"Full England intentional" LOL. He has received 1 cap as a 15 minute substitute? Technically you're correct, but Solanke is a complete and utter Donkey. Having 1 cap for England means nothing. We may or may not be interested (I suspect not) but that's a ridiculous comparison: Solanke is a full England international, Ali Dia didn't even look like a footballer and played (i think) just 20 minutes.

The guy has loads of potential, and if he had a manager who specialised in getting the mental side of his game right, someone like Graham Potter, he could be something special.
What's he done to warrant a thread?
UEFA youth league winner and top scorer.
UEFA under 17 Euros winner and top scorer.
Fifa under 20s world cup winner and top scorer.
All done under the Direction of Dan Ashworth.
So be sure he will be under consideration.
Should we sign Ravel Morrison too? Should we be the guinea pigs for talented players that don't have the mental fortitude to make the most out of their talent?
We don't have the budget to make these gambles, plus we have a 'no dickheads policy'. I can't see it happening.
Ravel Morrison and Dominic Solanke had a similar background. All the potential, but they got lost in the romance of being the next big thing.I don't get the dickhead thing and the comparison with Ravel Morrison is a bit random.
But since the restart he has scored 3 goals, in a team that was not great. So it looks like he has got over the mental block and might just be about to come good.
As has been mentioned earlier, if we could get him on a season long loan with an option to buy, I'd be cautiously happy.

I could be massively wrong, but I think that Dom Solanke has peaked at 22, and we'll never see him in the premier league again.
Morrison has played 59 games in 6 years. An average of 10 a season. 18 of those were foe Atlas (who?). His charge sheet includes beating up women and homophobia.
Solanke, 88 games in 5 seasons. Roughly 18 a season. 21 of those were for Liverpool (who?). His charge sheet appears to be blank.
Chalk and limestone?

My head says absolutely no way, but there's that sneaky thought that we could be the beneficiaries of his late discovery of form. In fact, he could hit the ground running for us and score loads of goals, which would be hilarious in view of his struggles at Dean Court. Dan Ashworth will have some thoughts on that, no doubt.
Michael Robinson was seen as a failure at Man City but prospered with us. Could Solanke be the same?
No, probably not.
