Gordon Greer: Been our big Scottish skipper for some time now, he led us to the League 1 title and helped massively in our first season at the Amex. He is a big part of our squad at the moment and doesn't seem like he will loose his place any time soon.

Adam El-Abd: Whenever he has been given the armband he has worn it with pride and always shouts out clear instructions. He always gives his all in the Blue and White stripes. He also has recently been called up to the Egypt National Team.

Wayne Bridge: Captained West Ham a few times last year when he was on loan and also was given the Sunderland armband for one game. He has Premier League experience, Should he be the skipper?

Andrew Crofts: Was a fantastic captain for the Albion in his time here before, and is yet another man to be proud wearing any armband. He takes complete control in the middle of the pitch and has top-flight experience, like Wayne Bridge.

Dean Hammond: Again was a great Skipper and came through the academy with Adam, they both had been here for their whole career. But then Hammond left the Albion on a Red Card, scored against us and celebrated, then took a Dive against Harper at St Marys and got booked, then tried taking out Adam at the Amex and again got Booked. Should he be forgiven and be given the armband back?

Changing the Captain, or more to the point stripping Greer of the captaincy would be catastrophic for not only Greer's morale, but for team morale as a whole.

Have you never played Champ manager?!

Greer's done nothing to be dropped as captain so will remain in the position. It is great to have former captains like Crofts and Hammond in the team though as you need leaders throughout a squad not just the captain

Pork pie land.
Really difficult call.

I cannot see the captaincy being moved. However, I feel that Greer is not a leader on the pitch, and it should move. IF Gus intends to play him regularly, then I think ElAbd should be captain as he has the strongest Brighton ties.

Stupid poll. Greer is the captain, end of.

Saying that, it's equally stupid putting a loan player there.

Greer is the captain, no question. When he's not in the team though, that's a different question. I suspect it will be betwen Crofts and Hammond. More likely the former because Gus knows him and presumably trusts him. Hammond might prove his worth off the field in the meantime though. Either way, it's fantastic to have so many strong candidates.

Can a mod correct the title? I don't normally feel the need to pull people up on their grammar, but it's really bugging me.
