If its Ian Branfoot we may as well tell the Football League we have no interest in being a pro club anymore and would like resign or position as from now on there, will be giant bric a brac fairs at Withdean every other Saturday from now on.................actually same goes with White and Booker (Bodger and Badger)

I know it wouldn't be popular with many due to the Palace connections (but then we did alright with Coppell!), but I'd like to see Iain Dowie. Reputation has taken a bit of a hit, so should be interested, and has the potential to get us playing well and seems a decent motivator.

edit: Pardew would also be good. Ling possibly, not so keen though. Calderwood is now working at Newcastle assisting Houghton.

You mean the two people who have delivered 4 points from their 2 games in charge, over the course of a whole season that would be promotion form.

Cotterill is the best on that list. Weirdly enough there are loads of good managers in div three. Can see Keith Hill, Andy Scott and Dave Penney all being good managers, but it's too much of a risk in our position. The best manager in there is Mark Robins, but it would break my heart to see him get nicked from Rotherham before he gets the chance to start a season without a points deduction. Don't like this apparent abandonment of our previous non-poaching principles anyway.

We tried to poach Danny Wilson from Bristol City before they sacked him

I would take Dowie before almost everyone on that list, forget the Palace connection, he has a proven record at Championship level...we will struggle to find many others with that level of pedigree.

Doug Loft hasn't been mentioned yet, surely he would be a shoe-in for the job. Is there nothing he can't do...?

What about a Forster/Loft dream team?
