Saw Villa vs Burnley in a cup game a number of years ago. It was a shameless piece of ground ticking. I'm on their database and they still send me merchandise catalogues and season ticket info and emails and stuff.

Went last Jan when the Walsall game was called off. It was Villa v WBA. Saw Whingy in the queue he helped me get a decent seat as there were restrictions.

Superb stadium sat in Doug Ellis stand not lap

We had exactly the same idea and we saw Whingy in the car park but he was no help to us getting tickets .
Looked a nice ground looking forward to it.

Yup, saw us lose 4-1 there in about 1981. Midweek game. We took the lead as well. The result meant Villa went top of the table.

I remmber that game. John Gregory scored for us. The Holte End (?) were taunting us by singing 'Your attack was Peter Ward" as he'd just left us for Forest

Ah!! the memories, used to live in the midlands in my younger days and the then 3rd division Villa took on Manure in the league cup semi in 1970, 63,000 at Villa Park on a freezing December night, I ended up in the manure end as my ticket was obtained rather late (from a Villa secretary who later became Mrs Little (a Villa player), even Best, Charlton, Stiles and Law couldn't stop the Villa winning 2-1 in extra time and going to wembley - so it can happen, this time I'll be there with The mighty Albion.

Brighton youth played an FA cup tie their in the last few years (5-6 maybe), we lost 2-0 must have been a couple of thousand in the crowd with a few Albion fans.

Also been in the away end with Charlton fans (lost 2-1) as I used to work up in Birmingham a lot, so went to Hawthorns and St Andrews a lot as well.

Great ground, has a big capacity so I reckon if we are given 15% should be enough for everyone to get tickets, even more so if it is a TV game.

Went to the 4-0 defeat Easter 1982. Also the Nov 82 one, although I don't remember the score (pretty sure we lost). Also went to see Spurs there with a mate at about the same time and to the European Cup SF which they won against one of the Moscow teams the year Villa were European champions (82). Was at Warwick Uni at the time. Stood at the back of the Holte-believe it or not it was pay on the gate!

Went there quite a few times when I lived in Brum. Including what may have been the first game back in Europe for an English team after the post-Heysel ban (1990, Villa beat Banik ostrava from Czechoslovakia).

And, more worryingly, an FA Cup 4th round match ten years ago which they won 6-0 (v Port Vale)!

Have been twice, but only for England games (Spain and Portugal), my youngest was one of the mascots for the Portugal game, he had to walk out with Gareth Southgate.
