I was about to ask the same question, but actually think there were several Brighton's amongst the multitude of strange names in the days of Australian pools in the summer (do the pools companies still do this?).

I was about to ask the same question, but actually think there were several Brighton's amongst the multitude of strange names in the days of Australian pools in the summer (do the pools companies still do this?).

Yes, I was going to say the same thing. The number of Brightons on the pools varied each week but sometimes it was 3 or 4, I'm sure. I was sad enough to keep an eye on them all. They all seemed to spend all their time at the wrong end of the tables.

However, I'm sure they were probably in low-level leagues that just helped the pools companies keep their business going over the summer. Not the type of teams to buy a decent player.
