I know it's a fairly stupid question. But which mode of transport is used most frequently during your average week???

A poll will follow

Why no multiple option on the poll?

To get to work each day I use bus, train, tube, train and the reverse on the way home.

Previously walking, but since starting my new job I have to use the train to get there and back.

I like the train as a mode of transport the most. But I agree that there are a lot of rude people on them :glare:

Onshore Clients I have to drive; for work Offshore I get a taxi to the airport, fly to Aberdeen & then get a helicopter to/from oil rig.

Helicopter flights are a most unpleasant way of getting to & from work ...

But still better a damn site better than commuting into London (& much better paid as well)

Car.
Would love to take public transport, but would mean bus-Leeds Metro Train-2 more buses and a walk up a hill. Would take way too long. Car journey can be 30 mins on a good day, an hour on a bad!

Car.

But I would walk/cycle if I could, I have too many children who are not big enough to walk/cycle and the school is a 54 mile round trip away so we are stuck with the car. I walk/cycle places we can but living in the middle of nowhere those places are few and far between.

Tube- relatively easy journey even in the rush hour. Living near Stockwell (10 minute walk) ensures a seat most days because there is only one stop (Brixton) before.

How anybody endures the Northern Line in Rush Hour is beyond me.

When I worked in West End I would often walk from here, taking about an hour.

.. now I'm in West London it's the tube. There is an option of Bus and Train now Shepherds Bush has been revamped, but bus links to Clapham Junction aren't great. When I can be arsed I'll start taking take a 40 minute walk across the common and get a 12 minute ride on the train to work avoiding MPs in the bushes as I go.
