Should give Birchall the big f*** off now if he wants out. Done f*** all since he's been here and is just another lightweight fancy dan. Okay so his best position might be CM but being pushed out wide doesn't stop a supposed pro doing the basics ie working hard, digging in,passing and shooting.

Well in the case of the loan players it isnt disgraceful but Birchall is here to supposedly win another contract and be in it for the long haul and to be looking elsewhere when the teams in crisis simply isnt good enough.

I shall stick up for him, he has not been given a chance, at any stage this season, to play regualrly in the position he is best. To pick the likes of Fraser, Virgo et al in his position, who simply cant play in those positions is enough to make him want to leave. IMO, another player who could have been a legend at Brighton, but instead Adams, White and Slade have managed to miss the wood for the trees and play players out of position. He must be so fed up with turning up every week to see such dross getting picked, hardly any wonder he is looking elsewhere.

So, again, next season, we'll be looking for a creative midfielder again then, 'sake.

You make a fair point, but also it hasn't been that easy for managers to pick him. When he came here he didn't look particularly fit, he's had a couple of knocks, and two, maybe even three times he's been off travelling half way round the world to play for Trinidad. I would have liked to see him play a few games in central midfield because I thought he really might be what we need, unfortunately he's just been another half fit, half hearted short term signing and it seems will never be more than that.
Oh well.

We have had so many good players come here and turn bad this season I think it is fair to assume that it is something more than coincidence.

I thought I saw something in him which made me think we'd made a decent signing.

I remember the crowd's reaction to him being substituted against Hartlepool where he had had a decent game, and Micky getting grief for taking him off. Admittedly Carole came on and his first touch set up Forster for an easy goal, but that's another story.
