Sneaky George

Anyone got footage of the daftest goal ever for the Albion? Not on You Tube!
It was on Youtube until some little scrote on here complained and got my old account suspended - it was even mentioned by Andrew Hawes when talking to George Parris on SCR. ITV are happy for thousands of hours of BGT, X Factor etc. to remain but woebetide anyone who posts a 15 year old clip of local news.

I'm currently teaching myself PHP and MySQL so have a new website to play with. If I can track down the original video file then I will upload it there but I'm not going to get back into rerecording from my DVD collection as I don't have the time and frankly don't need the aggro I continually got. And to anticipate the obvious question that I know will come - no I am not willing to send my DVDs to anyone else.

What about Kit Napier's equally sneaky goal against Chesterfield in 1971(ish)? I'd love to see that one again but I don't think that was captured on film.

It wasn't allowed the following home game. He stood by the post ready to do it again (by the north stand this time) and the ref waved him on. I think the ref either mistakenly thought he was waiting for permission, or wanted to avoid the reaction that the goal did the week before (questions were asked if it was a foul etc)

Remember it with great fondness. It was also featured on an episode of Question of Sport I recall. In the "what happened next" section.

One of my fave Kit Napier moments from one of my fav players. I really must start a "Kit Napier Appreciation" thread in the close season.

That game was not on TV.
