He had brought in his own staff in the summer....cleared White and booker out...of which I have more problems with White than I do booker...but hey ho!
But overall....slade kept us up...but showed no signs of taking us forward in my opinion. He signed players and this is by his own admission for the future....young players...when what we proberly needed was more of a mix, a good blend of exp with youth.
Spending massive amounts on Liam Dickinson cant have helped asI think the guys a complete waste of money when you put him up against the jordon rhodes of this world who Id like to add was half the price.....(maybe the new guy can get the best out of him)
Thanks Russ for your hard work...but with injuries, white or booker in charge of defense and what seems to be a culture of trouble running through the camp you were fighting a lost cause. I think russ is great at geeing up average lower league players....like Owusu, hart, fraser and getting them to give 110%...but these charlie big potatoe players who give 70% all the time.........he cant do it as they arnt willing to fight for the cause. I bet slade wishes he's never let go of fraser and owusu signed as then we'd have someproper workman like players.
