Someone's had you...

Absolute rubbish though, because:

1. SSN confirms Roy Keane expected to be confirmed as boss in the next 24 hrs.
2. Nobody from Ipswich at the game last night (unless they paid at the gate, very unlikely). Jason Dodd was there scouting for Middlesbrough though.
3. Magilton sacked at 10am, not 10pm.

Interested in point 2. I'm hoping he was there to watch Ricky Lambert, do we know anything different?

Slade seems like a genuine bloke and if he was going to go at the end of the season I think he would be the first to tell us, face to face as it were.
I know he hasn't been here long, but he gives the impression that he really likes it here and loves the 'imposssible' challenges, like;-
1 Survival this season.
2 Promotion next season.
3 Championship football for Falmer.
He gives the impression that he thinks he can do this, so all power to him I say. I wouldn't be surprised if contract negotiations had already started. We would be stupid to let him slip through our fingers.

An old friend who is close to backroom staff at Ipswich have told me tonight that Slade is a target for Portman Road vacancy.

They have been tracking Slade since he left Yeovil, and last night's result at Bristol was major factor in Magilton getting the bullet at 10pm.
The fact that Slade's contract with Brighton expires in early May is another a major factor...

:lolol:

this was a joke right?

what utter bollocks

Yawn.
Already, after a couple of wins, people propagating rumours of the manager leaving for another club.

IF people place ANY pride and worth in your own club, then they might dismiss such rumours instead of filling NSC with them. If Slade stays and gets some success next season, this is going to get bloody silly to have to read every week.

Rant over.

Not up on your Albion history? Apart from Wilkins and McGhee the previous 3 managers were either poached or chose to leave because they didn't see us as the big deal club you seem to think you are supporting.

Any manager that has reasonable success here is going to be approached by perceived bigger clubs, although I'd agree Slade has not really done enough yet to be getting Championship clubs interested....

Until we reach Falmer, at least, there will be rumours on NSC about other teams sniffing around a succesful Brighton manager, you'd better get used to it.

I'm sorry but the only reason I come on this board is to see what ridiculous unsubstantiated rumours are doing the rounds today. NSC for me has always been specifically for this kind of crap. If you don't want to read the silly rumours then maybe you're in the wrong place?
