Russell: Looks pretty good, think we might be lacking a bit of pace upfront.

Dick: Any suggestions?

Russell: Theres a young lad at Aldershot banging in goals for fun, could do a job.

Dick: Who,s that?

Russell: Boy by the name of Robinson, Jake Robinson.

Dick: Hmm, Name rings a bell.

Russell: Reckon we could get him for about 50k.

Dick: Seems a bit steep, had a bad experience with Aldershot strikers, I,ll offer 25k and see what happens.

Russell: Thats great, nice to see a chairman with his finger on the pulse.

Slade leaves the office.

Dick: Robinson, Robinson where have I heard that name before.

why do people persist with the idea that Robinson was ever any good. the boy was made of paper and would tumble over at the slightest nudge! very good at running round in circles and down cul de sacs. Pretty much like most of the youth team we have developed.

well presumably it wasn't meant to be a comic sketch, as it lacked the necessary ingredients for that..

humor for example tends to be used in comic sketches.

So I'm guessing it was an attempt at some kind of avant garde post modernism or other high brow prose.
