I don’t usually subscribe to rumours and I would be sad if it were true but I have been told by a friend (via text) that Slade will be gone by the Hartlepool home match.

It’s worth pointing out I have no inside knowledge at the club and the information has come from someone who would not have got this information from the club so there is a very good chance it is a complete fabrication.

Has anyone else heard this rumour?

Complete rubbish I would hazard, at this point in time.

There may be a possibility that he would be gone (after Hartlepool) assuming no points from the next two home games, but there is no substance in the rumour.

I'd say this is about right.

I do suspect that Bloom has rather less patience than Knight had, after all, he has his 90m investment at stake! I hope Slade stays, for sure, but I do fear the worst will happen in a couple of weeks if things don't get any better.

Just my opinion, like.

I hoped that would be the case.

The original text read;

‘My bird tells me your manager Russell Slade will be gone before the game against Hartlepool on Saturday!
I bet your happy?’

To which I replied;

Our next Home match is against Oldham mate! How would your missus know anyway?

His response;

Well whoever it’s against he’s a getting the tick tack.

To which I replied;

Ok, but how would your bird know???

That was an hour ago and he hasn’t replied, all I know is that his girlfriend works for some livery in Uckfield.

100% fact. I can't say anymore but i have heard we have Wise waiting in the wings.

please let thsi die, someone spoke to Wise recently and he knew nothing about it and hasnt spoken to Bloom. though that could be bollocks too i suppose... look, Wise aint coming and we dont want him. Poyet would be welcome though.

If we don't get good results in the next two games we'll almost certainly be in the bottom four in December, by that point there can't be any excuses really. So whether or not this is true, these two games are massive for Slade imo.

I don’t usually subscribe to rumours and I would be sad if it were true but...

...I'm going to put my mate's totally unsubstantiated text on the internet?

If we were to lose both games it would be hard to imagine the team having the momentum or confidence to get any wins out of the nasty four games that follow. By which point we'd be well in the relegation zone.

But hopefully that won't happen.
