Slade - Contract before next Saturday ?.

I'm almost sure RS knows his position in terms of contract options already.

It's probably his decision when to sign and I will bet that it won't be this coming week.

Whether it affects next Sat or not, give him next year whatever the result.
It took a few games,but what the feck did everyone expect,but we now a team of players all gelled and playing as a unit,be it loanee's or not.The only thing thats changed is the manager since Adams departur, but the team as a whole have stepped up. Anyone interested should read back through the posts, Defence no good,Cox not involved enough week to week,Loft total useless from last seasion posts etc etc.
We now have a manager that seems to be able to rouse and get a team playing as a unit. And who thought 2 mnths ago we still could stay up, with our own results??

Correct.If I was Russell Slade,I would not want to rush things as I would have plenty of questions to ask the Board(and I would require the correct answers)before signing on the dotted line; and after the debacle of a season we have had as a club,it is imperative that we get it right this time.....for the long term.

Slade should be given a contract but what should happen and what will happen are two different things!

Tricky one as the club has already said all contract discussions are on hold until after the end of the season.

we want people like Whing etc to stay (so does he by all accounts) but they are secondary to the BIG picture of staying up.

Lets sort Sat out first and then when we are all in a happy relaxed mood sort out who stays and who goes.( in our opinion)

Note slight snag to this plan can be that Slade and Whing etc bugger off as not given contracts quick enough......

I want Russell Slade as our manager next season - but this must be reviewed by the Board in the cold light of day. This has to be a long term appointment to take us to Falmer, The Champtionship and beyond and be properly financed in team building and youth development. Everyone must be singing from the same hymn sheet.
