I read today that sky will be showing some games live free to air through their PICK channel.
Can this be accessed via the Now TV box as I don't have a Sky box.
All advice gratefully received.

I'm surprised by the lack of freeview devices that integrate with tablets. There are still a few on the market that look like USB sticks but take a standard aerial connection.

Effectively a tiny freeview box, they used to work seamlessly with Windows Media Centre before Microsoft stopped developing it.

It surprises me because the signal is being broadcast free through the air and there is no need for to subscribe to a paid service.

I've bought some devices over the years and cranked one up whilst working at home. Doesn't work with my newer mobile, but still works fine with my older tablet.

It looks like a USB charger but has a socket for an aerial. It then re-broadcasts the freeview signal over wifi so a tablet can pick it up. You don't even need an internet connection. Turns an old tablet into a portable freeview TV.

The problem with these devices is they rely on proprietary apps and the fact that I appear to the only person buying them.

Unfortunately it's not universally available. We don't have it here in Findon (possibly all of Worthing) either.

ok. just looked at your local transmitter.

It appears to have BBC2, Babestation+1 and QVC if the wind is blowing in the right direction.

It's what known as a "freeview lite transmitter"

I've just tried a sample Brighton postcode on https://www.freeview.co.uk/help and it's there.

Are you on different transmitter ?

The Findon transmitter apparently. Not all transmitters carry all channels. These are what we get:

"Freeview lite" as mentioned above. Your transmitter is just a relay from other transmitters. Shocking really. Whoever owns the transmitters now (not BBC) apparently don't want to sort to it out.
