Quantum of Solace was one of the greatest bond films ever made which made it even more of a mystery the luke warm reviews it got. Daniel Craig is the best bond by far, although a have got a soft spot for Moore's Bond and its got the superb Ralph Fiennes in it and a decent director Sam Mendes. I reckon it should be very good.

I am not much of a Bond fan TBH but because of the girls I find myself compelled to Lovefilm it when it comes out

Casino Royale was IMMENSE (and has probably the greatest opening sequence of ANY Bond film)...."stop touching your ear...."

Quantum was a bit of a letdown.

Looking forward to the new one though. Craig is an excellent Bond. I gave up on it during the Dalton / Brosnan doldrums.

I want more cold blooded execution style killings, a la 006 with those scientists in the opening sequence of Goldeneye. Shooting a pipe that sprays them with water or knocking them out with a fire extinguisher aren't good enough for me. I WANT MORE INDISCRIMINATE KILLING!

This has to be the silliest bond killing in the series. Very realistic.

That sequence alone levitates CR to best Bond ever, and the rest of the film puts it into my top 10 films ever.

AMAZING opening sequence.

Quantam was an absolute piece of steaming dogshit. I like DC as Bond but Casino was so infinitely better than QOS it's not even funny. Hope (although still gritty) Skyfall doesn't take itself quite so seriously. It's great seeing Bond get hurt, makes him more human, but it's lost its way by losing the dark humour. The scene in Casino Royale on the train where Vesper and Bond first meet shows Craig can pull off the 'banter' that earlier Bonds did just as much as he can the grittier action scenes.
