Does anyone know anything about sky boxes ? i have tried turning it on and off as well

When i press on "TV GUIDE" on the Sky Remote all im getting is BBC1 and BBC2 coming up, all the other channels are not there.....anyone got any idea what i need to do.......i do know i can ring sky but i will ask on here first as i really dont want to be sat on the phone for hours

Ive tried that algie...doesnt seem to do anything.......all the channels were there....now they aint

Have you put an old card in a different box? I know that if you mix cards with different boxes, you have to have them 'paired' by calling Sky.

Turn Sky off. Take Card out, wipe with soft cotton cloth, place card in backwards. Wait 10 minutes turn on Sky, wait for it to finish it's boot up thing, take card out and put in properly.

If that don't work, phone the lardy jockos.

Right.......i am using the only card we have in a new box (but exactly the same as the origanal box)

In other words i have bought a new box and am taking the card out the origanal one and trying to use it in the new one.....it did seem to work for a bit ??

my Sky+ box is SHIT, keeps turning itself on at night (when on standby) and other times the fan & HD start wizzing round when it IS on standby.....wakes me up so I have to unplug the fucker every night......Sky bloke coming round Friday to replace it though!

Yeh, i got it working on everything else, the idea was for me to watch sky sports in another room while her with the legs can watch normal telly in the lounge.........but if i ring up sky and say i have bought this new box, will they pair it and it will then workin both boxes, or will they want money etc etc ?

No, the sports will only ever work on one box at a time, and they won't change it every week.

My Sky+ box keeps saying "there is a technical fault with this channel, please try later". I can usually correct this by the time honoured switching-it-off-and-on-again (just with the remote), but sometimes it happens 2 or 3 times a night and it FUCKS me off.
