I think he means having the option to listen with crowd noise only, like being at the game. I’d much prefer that and it has been an option in the past, but I can’t recall which channel offered it.

Amazon Prime had a "stadium fx" audio option. It's a shame other channels haven't followed suit.

Sorry to correct but Howard Keel has nothing to do with when you walk….
The musical it is from was Carousel first on the stage then on a film and on all occasions is sung by a female soprano with a chorus.
Howard Keel played in the stage version of Oklahoma but not in the film and as you walk etc is definitely not in Oklahoma

You are of course correct, it's why I never chose Rodgers and Hammerstein or Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber for my Mastermind specialist round. That and the fact Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim were LEAGUES ahead

Bernstein and Sondheim were brilliant but so were Rodgers and Hammerstein. Different times . For me Showboat by kern and Hammerstein was the musical that changed musical theatre the most. Slavery, mixed race, and some wonderful tunes.
