:( :( :( :( Its shite . I would change but I'm tied down by a years contract. Mine was installed by a Sky fitter but I think I was a test case . Ten quid a month for the top speed and it keeps chucking me into the ether.

If you keep calling EVERY TIME it fails that's a start. Then, record the date and time. If it's as bad as you say you can tell them you are terminating the contract as the service is useless and then trot out your list of calls.

They won't argue.

Which tariff are you on. We have the basic as that comes free with sky +

I would not mind upgrading but if this level is anything to go on............................. I think not.

Can't BELIEVE they get away with forcing you to take a 12 month contract.

There must be providers that don't?

Mine doesn't - cancel after 3 months I think

Only just got mine, but so far it has worked fine.

Mind you, I didn't install the bloody CD that came with it.
There's no way I was having any software written by SKY on my computer.

I have the £10 max one, I doubt it is any better than the free version, Sky blame BT, and BT blame Sky. If you ring for help you get either an Indian or worse still a Scot.

You are not alone...

Have a look at this website which a disgruntled punter put together:

http://www.skybroadbanned.com/

I had similar problems when I foolishly decided to switch from AOL. Ended up going to BTinternet and it's fine. (Although costs more than Sky)

End of the day, I think you get what you pay for.

If I go back to the wired connection its ok. Maybe its just a crap router for wireless.

Been with AOL for years and I had been threatening to get rid of it, but I'm glad I didnt cos it was my rubbishy old PC that was the problem, and better the devil and all that!! The mother-in-law got Sky BB and has had all sorts of trouble!
