So the season is upon us once again, where are you all off too this season ?
Now me and my mates all have young kids, we are doing the family resort thing, so we're off to Les Gets in Febuary. Anyone been whats it like ?
I have heard the skiings not very demanding so I think i'll have to do a bit more off piste.
Anyway happy ski season to all you skiers and boarders

Chateau D'oex, Switzerland, in January. Awesome ballooning festival on at the same time. Might also drop in on Roman Polanski up the road in Gstaad, Im sure he will get the kettle on if we turn up unannounced...

I've been tapped up to go on a cheap trip to Bulgaria with an ex-flatmate, her twin and a few others. Not entirely sure where in Bulgaria yet, I had no idea they were a skiing nation.

Yeah getting quite popular now as it's quite cheap, the only thing is the snow coverage isn't always great.

I nearly went on the portable slope they had in Eastbourne over the weekend. Not been away since I left school. Went 6 years on the trot and then twice a week on the dry slope in Folkestone really must try and go again soon.

Anyone tried Spain? Sierra Nevada. Ski in the morning & get some sun in the afternoon............ If you drive like a lunatic! Seriously not a bad place & you can visit Granada for the Al Hambra, excellent Tapas in the area. Not a bad weekend away.

Still angling to go at the end of March but haven't done
much research yet.

Where in Europe is reasonably snow sure
at that time of year?

Off to Tignes 2nd week of February 6 adults and 4 children can't wait especially as the early snow has been very good this year with most resorts opening early....bring it on!

I have, week after christmas couple of years ago.

Snow was very good, when rest of Europe was poor, mainly due to it being so high up (1900-2000 at top?)

Great little holiday, Granada, Seville...mm Rioja and tapas... :slurp:
