Looking for a budget ski trip anywhere in Europe departing sometime in March, anyone got any good tips on getting deals? Or heard of any deals?
Many thanks
Bansko, Bulgaria. It is regularly voted the best value ski resort in Europe. There will be no gondola queues by March. Excellent bars and restaurants and good alternatives to skiing or apres ski with thermal spas. Choose a good hotel or apartment near the gondola and with an indoor pool - there is usually a deal at one of them as plenty to choose from.
If you're a beginner, there are really good deals in Bulgaria. If you want a bit more skiing, Andorra has some good deals and is relatively cheap. If you want lots of skiing, book a catered chalet in France about 3-5 days before you go and you get chalet, transfer, meals and wine all in for approx 350-400 (still expensive on lift passes though) useful link http://www.igluski.com/ski-passes.
Igluski.com is very good and avoid all school holidays.
Booked in to a hotel in st antons Austria for tomorrow. Was only done 3 days ago. £799 for hotel including breakfast and dinner, £197 for lift pass. I have everything else so £1000 in total which isn't to bad
