What an EPIC day that was. Being 16 at the time I wasn't old enough to drive and being bank holiday most of the trains were booked up. Me and a mate got a coach from Cambridge (where I live) to Brighton at 4am in time to pick up a supporters coach from Brighton to Cardiff.
I probably would have topped myself if we had lost, I ended up getting home 23 hours after I left.
That was an amazing day went up with a load of my workmates at the time it was great. One of them said he thought there were three balls most of the game they were so drunk
Watched it at home as a wee 10 year old laddy. Happy days, the joy when that penalty was given, followed by the screaming of when it was scored, will live for me forever!
Cardiff Millenium Stadium - Great venue, Great Stadium, Great VIIEWS - Built on time to budget only £130m ish?
Good organisation off M4 Bristol cars, Bristol Coaches , Brighton Cars , Brighton Coaches off seperate junctions, Great bars near ground with Stadium right in city centre -What a difference to shit hole around Wembley
Atmosphere and result Brilliant
Cardiff often got critised as difficult to get out off - didnt think it was too bad
