Going to get relegated with a whimper, what the hell are the club doing?

Ha ha :p

Bloody great that today. Thought before the game that we could give them a shoeing, regretting that thought a minute in, but in the end we certainly did.

Amazing bollocks in the team to keep coming back from adversity. Down after a minute, came back. Conceded an equaliser, came back. Goal ruled out to VAR, kept on pushing and ended up with FIVE.

For the first time in the Premier League. Yesterday Brentford scored five in the top flight for the first time since the 30's, guessing that's the first time we've ever done it?

Top job. Fortress Amex.

30's ? Football isn't that old, it was invented in the 1990's

Did we ever score 5 score early 80's? I remember putting 4 past Man City, and Norwich?

I'm pretty sure we've never scored 5 in the top flight.

I can only remember three times we've scored four (Man City 1979, Swansea and United this time round). There may be some I've missed.

I think Noriwch put four past us. I was there. Rollings sent off.

I think there's a good possibility that Welbeck ends up with fewer goals this season than Trossard, Mac Allister or Gross. Yet he's so good and key to our formation. Not all about scoring.

When GP had his two best seasons in Östersund, his main striker - Alhaji Gero - scored 5 goals (all competitions) per season. Not a problem since the bloke pulled a lot of attention from the defenders and helped everyone else score a bunch of goals.

With all due respect

I think his Swedish days are behind him

Arguably, Gross and Trossard have been playing as forwards rather than midfielders in games this season.

I've been banging on about this for months. Goals from elsewhere - lacking last season - lump pressure on the strikers and creates demands for a new figure up front. Fix that issue and the pressure goes away.

But I'm sure FAR cleverer posters than the people actually running the club and training the team will keep wanging on about the NEED to spaff millions on a 'PL-ready' striker...

Strikers? plural? unless we count Undav and Ferguson we only have the one shirley? Danny Welbeck. As someone else said, l have a feeling he won't end up being our top scorer this season, but frankly who cares?

We seem good at sharing the goals around the team, and that's fine by me. Danny's all round game is superb, he is far more than just a goalscorer.

Managers evolve

I'm sure you've seen a shitload of GPs Östersund side...

Obviously his skills evolve and the shape of your squad will always be a little bit different each season, but the basics are the same. If I took you, with the amount of Potterball you have seen now, to a Östersund game in 2017 you would absolutely have said "holy, it looks like they're managed by GP himself!".
