Sit or Stand?

This has been done repeatedly on here. As ever, my answer is STAND. It's one of the reasons I love living in Scotland - I'm allowed to stand at the majority of games to which I go. The Stadio Recreazio hardly has any seats - it's the guests area only, really.

Stand. I can't even remember the last time I sat down at a football ground. Maybe at half time in the season we were relegated but that's it.

Proper safe standing should be installed at all grounds. It's bleeding obvious that there are thousands who prefer to stand and it can be done safely. I reckon standing in seated areas is far more dangerous than terraces yet it happens at pretty much every game in in the country. Not until there are some fatalities due to standing in seated areas will anything change.

Standing areas, I'd like to see - but prolonged standing in seating areas is potentially dangerous in my view, especially in a packed house.

I do stand up as everyone else, but I appreciate what the stewards are trying to enforce.

Atmosphere definately better on an old terrace though.

We're unlikely to have them back.

I understand there is a belief within the powers that be that it has helped decrease football violence since it is far easier to identify and spot trouble makers in seated areas.

I'm not saying I agree with that, but I understand it's a predominant viewpoint and that's why seats are here to stay.

Interestingly some London clubs were trying to behind get terraces back last year according to Evening Standards.

They are tired of the turnover of stewards p*ssed off with the abuse.
