Just watching a report on standing at football and i still think we should be allowed to stand!

What do you think

I try and stand towards the end of the game...depends who is sitting behind me.

It does make sense to try and get us all to sit, as some people don't want to stand and their view is obstructed. My Dad has a bad back and can't keep standing up and sitting down all through the game....worse when it is cold.

Stand definately.

Fans pay over the odds to get in to matches so they should be given the option to stand if they want. Clubs should adopt standing areas in their grounds to cater for those who want to stand and then those who don't want an obstructed view are also satisfied. SORTED.

Just raises the whole issue on 'Safe Standing' innit.

Who thinks a that a standing up game is in order for tommorow to get behind the team?

It takes away the atmosphere sitting down!

STAND UP FOR THE ALBION!

exactly, often at away games we get a really good atmosphere going and then the stewards come along 15 minutes in and people give up to easily and sit down, the atmosphere just dies.

One way to get everyone standing is to sing "Stand up if you hate the LDC"

Absolutely spot on. I have people that stand quite often in front of me, so in turn I have to stand as well to see, not that it bothers me. The problem though, is that I have two old boys sitting behind me who can't stand that easily. So do I selfishly stand so they can't see, or sit down myself ?

There must be a way clubs can organise some area where people can stand if they want to.

Bring back terraces, that is the easiest answer, that way those who want to stand can do so without inconveniencing others.

There's nothing wrong with standing during exciting times (which I do) but I agree that standing up for no reason at all in an all-seater stand is quite selfish. Especially if there are younger fans, disabled fans or elderly fans behind you.

However, standing up can help other fans to join in which will spur the team on. Also standing creates a good atmosphere in the ground (which is what we need at Withdean).

The idea of having a seated area where fans were allowed to stand is the best idea. That why they know the numbers of people because you are paying for a seat. But you can stand. Also if it is a certain area you get away from the problem of people who are not able to stand for the full game or at all, not being able to see.

Top post. I think people should be allowed to stand if they want to. With regard to these people who say that the cant see coz people are standing up, why dont they go and sit down the front? I dont meen to be rude its just a suggestion. People who stand for the whole game (me included) tent to be towards the back.
