Putting aside whether it's right or not, are you really saying that :

> You've never read the endless threads on here about sitting down ?
> You've never heard of the Taylor Report ?
> You've never heard of Hillsborough ?
> You've never understood the t&c's of your ticket ?

Good grief :dunce:

Maybe there's people behind you that want to sit in the seat they've paid for to watch the match they've paid to see? Just a thought.

Why do people even entertain the somewhat deluded notion that should should be allowed to stand. Asides the fact this thread could be a wind up, if this is serious, you sir need your marbles adjusted.

Cobblers, both ends were standing the entire match at Old Trafford today, loads of clubs tolerate standing in certain areas, and why not?

Do we have to have a thread on this every sodding week? You're not on a terrace, therefore you are not allowed to stand. Get over it.

After buying a season ticket for a seat I expect to see the game and hopefully the goals and i will expect the stewards to do their duty in making sure I do, it will be not enough to see the goalmouth play, on the screen.
I know several youngsters who will not attend another match because of the actions of people who ignore the regulations and expect to get away with it.

Loads of clubs now tolerate standing in certain parts of the ground, as long as everyone knows where those areas are, what's the problem?

My God, bet you're a lot of fun! Pretty much everone stood at Orient and Bristol, nobody seemed to mind and nobody died, it's perfectly safe to stand in front of your seat, I've done it from time to time, although not at Withers, and I've never been hurt or anything! Yes, it's the law, but so what? Ever driven at over 70mph on a motorway? Having said all that, if people behind you ask you to sit, you should do.

Except for the back four rows of the North Stand where Martin Perry said there would be a more relaxed approach.

Oh, of course there will be more stewards at the Amex, as hopefully the crowd will be near 20,000 rather than 7, 000. Bet there won't be more stewards per 1000 fans than there are now though!

Quite frankly, the last thing any of us need is your son in law keeping us safe! God help us!
