Sit down and keep the noise down we can't see at the back.:lolol: :lolol: :lolol: Didn't expect that until we were at Spurs. Still if they sit Liz's coach party at the back what do you expect. Bet there will be some moans and letters to the ticket office about seat allocations. :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

 Many thanks to the ignorant and inconsiderate idiots who spoiled a great day out at Wolves today. These ignorant people are the ones who insist on standing throughout the whole 90 minutes. Whilst I sympathise with those who wish to stand, they seem oblivious to the fact that they are ruining it for those behind them who have paid for a seat and wish to use it. Many people can't stand, elderly people for example. My wife cannot stand for long periods and had to leave the away game at Gillingham earlier this season for this reason and missed most of the second half. Wolves was a sellout today so people at the back were unable to move elsewhere. So in future please be more considerate and think of others around you. Fun winding up the stewrads was it? Won't be long before the club gets a compalint and our ticket allocation is halved. Just ask West Ham.

Ticket allocation halved now that would make interesting threads about who gets tickets.

WE DID COMPLAIN, BUT THESE PEOPLE ARE SO THICK SKINNED IT'S LIKE TALKING TO A BRICK WALL...AND IF YOU'D READ MY POST PROPERLY YOU WERE OBVIOUSLY TOO STUPID TO READ THE BIT ABOUT PEOPLE NOT ABLE TO STAND. BY ALL MEANS STAND AT PLACES LIKE WIGAN WHERE THERE IS PLENTY OF ROOM, BUT PLEASE NOT AT SELLOUTS WHERE YOU CAN'T MOVE

I sympathise if your wife is unable to stand for periods of time but you mentioned Gillingham in your previous post. I changed seats at Gillingham at half to sit with some people I knew and there were a few empty seats near the front of the 'stand' so you could have moved her.

OK whinge over, but I am concerned about this standing issue. If West Ham can get their allocation cut due to this problem, then it's not going to be too long before maybe the same thing happens to us. It can be difficult at times getting tickets for away matches but this could make things impossible.

Most people do sit down when the stewards insist.

A lot of the time the stewards don't bother asking the away fans to sit down.

Note that away fans to Withdean very rarely sit down either.

This will continue to be a problem until they reintroduce the terrace so those that want to stand can do.

If it's of any interest, we had our allocation cut almost in half at Forest this season because so many of our fans stood up there the previous season. Last year we took 2,404 to the City Ground. This year we were only given 1,250 tickets.

This is an issue that affects me directly these days as I suffer from a back problem and there are times when I simply can't stand for more than a few minutes at a time. As a result of this, I always try to find a seat at away games where I won't be affected if the people in front of me choose to stand.

Personally, I've never been able to understand why so many people insist on standing at away games when there are perfectly good seats to sit on. They don't do it at home matches, so why do it away?

Mind you, I find that most of culprits tend to be pissed up and fairly young, so more often than not a quiet but firm threat of extreme violence does the trick with persistent offenders.

I like standing.
It's not normally a problem unless the stewards insist on you sitting in your allocated seats.

The ones who want to sit make their way to the front of the area and the hooligans like me who like standing and singing make their way to the back of the stand.
I do sit down if asked to though :dunce:

Well you'll be able to stand at Ninian Park in February. We have a terrace especially built for the purpose.

I always prefer to stand at games, mainly because it's still more natural to stand at a football match, but I'm always weary of the person behind me and if they sit down then I will as well.

You can still make noise sitting down, and I'd hate to think I'd ruined the experience for someone else for my own selfish reasons. :)
