No. He'd have persevered with the doomed diamond formation and not strengthened the midfield. So we'd still be 1-0 down and on the back foot after fifteen minutes most games. Just won't do.

Yes - he brought in good players who improved the squad during his time here, and would have continued to do so, he seemed a good judge of players, and was learning from his mistakes.

He would have had the budget / squad places to sign in better players, including strengthing where we needed to, like midfield, after clearing alot of dead wood from the squad.

It took Adams 3 seasons to gain promotion, while with us in a lower division, so why couldn't Wilkins have done the same.

I think he would of, yes.

He was clearly learning his trade, but doing it well I thought. And with the youngsters he brought through and a summer of some good signings, I think he would of taken us up.

Would have got us into the top 6. Couldn't say whether he'd have taken us up or not, anyone who does is just guessing. Still with the core of good players he has left behind we've still got every chance of doing the same under Adams. Just hope he doesn't bring Virgo or Hart back.

Wilkins was in the process of putting together a good team but sadly we'll never know who he planned to add to it this summer. Could he have got us promoted next season? Yes.

No, Too much disruption to the squad and letting go of the three really experienced players all in one go left no role models for the younger players.

Would like to have seen who he signed though!!!
