Fitted a 3/4 high bay window (3 large shutters and 2 thin side ones) , two bedroom windows for about £1200 from affordable shutters. Great quality wooden shutters, really nice family business who come out and measure up properly. The only thing is that you have to wait about 10-12 weeks for them to be made. Considering some of the other brands charge 3 or 4 times that price for the same thing, I was happy to wait.

Thanks. Sounds worth looking at. All places seem to be 10-12 weeks at the moment as the country goes home improvement loopy...

Just had whole house fitted with shutters from Brighton-shutters.co.uk amazing price and service not vat registered so extremely competitive, nearly all made in China so mine were 8 weeks delivery quality same as John Lewis

Aside from the blind man jokes, we had ours fitted in January. Off the top of my head I think it was about £1400 for four fairly large windows. Went via these guys- a fairly small, family run company based in Haywards Heath. They were excellent.
