You are either living in the past (Adams, Coppell, Taylor) or have been brainwashed by the club's propaganda (funding, planning permission).

Current performances in front of the paying home fans smack of last season's surrender to Stoke - the point at which McGhee and Booker should have gone.

Living in the past, I'm actually looking at DK's legacy which is impressive managers wise, so I'm justifying why he's such a good chairman.

I've no doubt that Sacking Mark Mcghee has cost the club a lot of money, so are they likely to go and sign another big name when they're in so much debt. Also please note who would want to come to Brighton whilst they play in a sh1t ground. As soon as planning permission comes and building started, then things will change.

I think i've said before on previous threads that I believe that Dean Wilkins has done enough to warrant being manager, he turned round a bad spell and won games. If he avoids relegation with the team he has, then he's done well - almost as well as Mark McGhee could have done (A man with years of experience). I think DW just needs some experience and he'll be a blo0dy good manager. Didn't the youth team win something a few years back, beating premiership teams? He couldn't do that unless he had something in management terms. He just needs to get up to scratch with the league he's in now. I'm sure that'll come next year.

Does McGhee's contract end at the end of this season, so we don't have to pay him anymore?

Possibly, and possibly why they offered to pay his wages until he found a new club - or the contracts finished.

I don't know to be honest.

But I reckon a manager of his standing must quite rightly be paid a fair wack. Hence why DK didn't want to sack him last season I'd say. Again, I think he was a good manager, but thought he should go after hearing all about the arguments.
