Looking at that list only one team has been 20th with 11 points and finished in the play off places. Looks like we definitely should.

I can't believe anyone is still that dissolussioned to even consider the playoffs this season. We are already 25% of the way through the season.

The way I'm feeling at the moment the top half is starting to feel like it's being closed on us.

I KNOW it's silly ,we're still quite early on in the season but we don't seem to learn from the problem we've had for the last 8 games now.

Play offs no chance... unless we get a big strong striker very soon. Not one of the forwards looks like scoring........

I've given up on this season and almost lost interest already; can't remember when I felt so 'meh' at this stage of a season before.

Roll on August 2015, so we can start again.

We need to add another 63 points to what we've already got, to reach the playoffs.

That means we need to average about 2 points per game from our remaining games.

That means we need to WIN EVERY REMAINING HOM GAME and we also need to DRAW EVERY REMAINING AWAY GAME.

Season totally dead and buried, thanks to the Finnish muppet. I first watched the shambolic high-full-back style against Real Betis, that was exactly three months ago. We have learnt absolutely nothing, we have changed absolutely nothing, and we have achieved precisely nothing.

So you're not sold on him then?

No, not sold on him at all. I think he's an arrogant pr1ck who is not listening to what players, and staff, are telling him - change the bl00dy system or die!

Notice how organised Boro looked with a disciplined but boring back four? Start with that, then organise the rest, and we might start to arrest the decline.

But he's too arrogant, he believes he can shoe horn our mediocre talent into an LVG style, and if we fail it will be the players fault, not his fault.

he is a knob.

Impressive set of stats but didn't bother reading them. Don't need stats to tell me that we ain't going to be in the play-offs this season.

What have the players and staff been telling him then?

Yes Boro were very well organised, but I would like to add that their 'boring' back four contained the centre back who ran the length of the pitch to create the second goal. I'm sure that wasn't in Karanka's game plan!
Although I'm not convinced by Sami, I do think that the players let him down Saturday to a degree.

I don't know anything about him or his personality but my impression of his management so far is that he is clearly not up to the job. The players don't appear to know what their roles are- or if they do they're not up to it. There was little or no evidence on Saturday that the international break had produced anything positive in terms of what happens on the pitch.
