Simple question.

I don't think they should, in fact I'd like to see the lowest place team in the semi finals get the home draw. Oakwell rocked on saturday and home advantage would probably make it a more exciting game with the underdogs having abetter chance.

No, but I think it should be a neutral ground as before.

How soon is now?
I know these things are decided a while back, but considering neither Arsenal or Man Ultd are in the last 4 the games could have been played there. Or perhaps at the Millenium Stadium. As somebody pointed out in the pub last night, its all about Wembley creating as much revenue as possible to compensate for the over-spend on the building the place

Absolutely not. It detracts from one of the major things about getting to the final.

We're on the march with somebody's army
We're all going to Wemberleeeeey
And we'll really shake 'em up
When we win the FA Cup quarter final
'Cause we are the greatest football team

That's pretty much it really isn't it.

The argument that there aren't enough grounds big enough to host a semi-final really doesn't hold water these days, and using Wembley inevitably gives somebody a geographic advantage in terms of the distance some supporters have to travel.

No.

Because it takes away the magic of 'your' team getting to Wembley for the Final.

Might not apply so much to the top 6 teams as they normally play there on a regular basis, but certainly to the majority of football fans in this country it still applies.

I would of said no in any other year, let the semi be geographical so the fans dont have to travel and pay stupid London prices twice,if their team get to the final. But this year with the teams left in,any appearance at Wembley could be the highlight of their careers.

No, there are plenty of really good stadia in the country more than capable of holding the semis, depending on the geographical locations of the four teams so that none has advantage. I would be perfectly happy as a supporter to go to Old Trafford, the Emirates or even the Millennium Stadium for a semi-final, save the Wembley experience for the final itself.

Although I was lucky enough to go to the all Sheffield semi-final back in the early 90's, I did wonder about the wisdom of making all those fans travel down to London for a game that wasn't the Final, surely it would have made more sense for it to go somewhere like Old Trafford.

That Sheffield semi was due to be at Elland Rd when the two London clubs were given Wembley (the only place deemed to hold enough seats for both sets of supporters). Both Wednesday and Utd protested because the London clubs would have had experience of the pitch and because neither club wanted to go anywhere near Leeds. Old Trafford would have been a better option, but in the end, the FA decided that both semis should be at Wembley.

If you asked a Barnsley fan this question at the start of the 3rd round he would have more than likely agreed with the majority on this poll but if they get Pompey later today I believe he would snatch your hand of if offered a semi final ticket at Wembley.

I`m in the club ground camp for semis though.

Yorkie, I didn't know that it had been switched to Wembley, all I can remember was that the offer of a free ticket to the game was one too good to turn down. The atmosphere at that game ranks amongst the best that I can remember as a footy fan, the noise made by the balloons bursting was absolutely deafening, plus I got to see Chris Waddle weaving his magic on the wing.

The whole thing about Wembley is that Its a 'once in a lifetime' oppertunity to play there, unless you are at the top of your game and playing for England or in a team that plays alot of finals, having the Semis there takes the magic of the final away from both the fans and players

Although it would be f***ing sweet to get their early... You're going to have to pay a fortune TWICE if you make it to the final.
What with the fa cup season we've had this year its almost spoiled the "romance" of the cup. You should earn the right to get to Wembley.
