I can see why he was signed. I can see what MA was trying to do with him in the team. But I don't think it has worked out. I would be happy for him to go back now. We have Thomson or El-Abd who can play a holding role anyway.

Our best midfield at the moment doesn't include him.

Anyinsah Thomson Thornton Johnson Cox

Mcleod looks off the pace but looks a good player.

So no he shouldn't play for us again...

Savage has his own demons to deal with. When you begin to lose your pace and aggresion in the midfield,as i believe he has, then vison might get you by,perhaps like Darren Currie,i will be intrested in his next move,as it wont be with us.

With Johnson in the team, yes.

Wouldnt get in the starting 11, he is unfit and pretty much past it. But, according to some on here, picking the ball up off the back 4, knocking a simple 5 yard pass, then doing f*** all else apart from scream for the ball when we have a thrown-in by our goal makes him a good player.

I was really looking forward to him here but the pace & aggression has gone and, like an earlier poster said, there's little else. Those 5 & 10 yard passes get us nowhere.

I good midfielder can play on if he has the vision and passes to do so and other players do his 'work'. People like Le Tiss, hoddle, Currie (Tony & darren), even Dean Wilkins.

I can't see anyone else giving him contract.

He seems to be trying to rebrand himself, sell himself as a simple ball-playing midfielder. Every quote (aside from his car) seems to be about him wanting to keep the ball moving, keep it simple etc. He seems to repeat this daily. This wasnt his style of game in his younger days. I think he realises his days are numbered.

I think he would have played his last game for us whether he was injured or not.

I don't think we should knock him too much. I think he genuinely wanted to do well both for the Albion and himself. I heard his interview on SCR before the game the other evening and I thought he came across really well. Not the knob I thought he was.
