No!
I agree with what most people have posted here for all the obvious reasons.

I don't think GP has any respect for the traditions of the cup (I don't blame him as his playing background was top flite football and champions league) and if he thought he could get away with it he would probably play the youth team. As others have said, last year we should have learnt a lesson as we ended up with additional replays and that may have cost us dear at the end of the season, who knows, we might not have lost our last two games and may have reached the magical 100pts.

There are some obvious candidates to try but the likes of CMS need a goal to boost confidence and he might get that against Wrexham. Let's make winning a habit.

play the dev squad with 7 top first teamers on the bench - bring on the big guns if we are drawing or losing at 55 minutes.

People think that because its "non league" its a walk in the park, The top half of the conferance is as good as the majority of League 2 if not better (just look at Crawley) Our development squad is not up to league 2 standard YET......and to do as you suggest is just plain stupid. For heavens sake they beat Brentford in the last round. Under estimate them and suggest that the development squad is capable of beating is silly. Agree involve some within the squad, but we have to go with experaince if we want to progress which in the long run benefits all.

Only one choice here for me - play the kids !!!!

Let the first team rest after a tough holiday run of games. Allow knocks to heal and don't risk new knocks which are likely against a conference opponent.

We will not win this trophy this year but we will for sure have our hands full in the run in for the league.

I know we just came off a massive win against a local rival but before they went to 10 men it was an extremely tight match, if sides would have remained at full strength who knows what would have happened. Before that game we scored 1 goal in 6. Lets not get ahead of ourselves after 1 amazing win.

I believe a good rest and regroup for Bristol City who will give us a lot more problems since we last faced them at Ashton Gate.

The team that topped the Blue Square Premier last season knocked Torquay, Swindon (I think) and Derby out of the cup, before losing by the narrowest of margins to Man United at Old Trafford, if anybody needed any evidence as to (a) the strength of the BSP and (b) what a sense of occasion and a little FA Cup motivation can do to a smaller team.

So I'd say no way on earth can we afford to field a team full of young lads against the team topping this year's BSP.

Play all kids and we will go out of the competition, simple as that. There are over 17k people have paid to watch a competitive football match and deserve to see a side put out that has a very good chance of winning!

Try to keep as much of the team the same as was for southampton...with posh away and palace away (2 tricky games) we need to build a starting 11 with confidence, momentum and belief

Agree with all your sentiments, but didn't the DS also beat Brentford recently, albeit in a friendly ? If you put the boot on the other shoe, I would think Wrexham are concentrating solely on promotion and might not want a Cup run. How will we know if THEY put out a weakened side ?

I totally see where people saying "no way" are coming from.

If we didnt have to deal with the current squad situation it would be different and the prospect of another big cup tie this season would be exciting.

But, although I do obviously want us to win every game, if its a choice between further injury or suspension vs a defeat in the cup, I think I'd take the defeat given the squad situation right now, and move on and concentrate on the league.

Its true a good performance/win for our first team players would give them (and us) a boost, but I think a break and protection from further injuries/suspension is worth more to us at the mo tbh.

Play the strongest team possible, for reasons already stated.

If it was ever the intention to play a below strength team this should have been said before people purchased tickets.

Would like to see atleast about 3/4 out on pitch and then a couple on the bench. Would like to see that Elliot Levy come on for 15/20 at the end and let him run at their fullbacks, the kids got more pace than Lua Lua :L
