What is it with some blokes who parade themselves in public in shorts and t-shirts when there are icy winds blowing around.

Just who are they trying to impress? Are they insane or do they not have balls hence need to show off their macho 'I'm 'ard me' characteristics at every opprtunity.

Quite right yet again Peregrine. I saw some twat out on sunday in tshirt, shorts and sandals combo with his family who were all adequately dressed for the climate. Actually he looked like he was freezing but trying to save face in front of them. Hope hes got a chill now.

I f***ing love it, you watch with the clocks going forward this weekend, it gets to peoples heads and the first sunny day next week you'll see loads of people out after work unaware that it's still absolutely freezing.

Perhaps they just enjoy the sensation of their nipples perking up in the cold and rubbing against flimsy cotton. I know I do.

When I were a lad we wore shorts (aka short trousers) for the whole winter. And that includes one year at secondary school - when there was only two of us in the year still wearing them. Not that it did me any harm.

Including the Winter of 1963 when the snow was deep and crisp and even.

I'm in shorts and t-shirts today.

We cyclists get rather hot if we get too wrapped up.

People in shorts and shirts in cold weather just look like dills frankly, but its when the men wear sandals that my stomach just turns - freaky crooked, uncut toes nails with gangly hairs on toes - wwwwuuuuurrrrh - nearly threw up the other day when I came across some guy in town with velcro surf sandals and the WORST unkept toes I have ever seen!! :nono:

Are you suggesting that men should shave their toes? (hastily checks to see if his are hairy)

no not at all, but its when they are combined with dirty toe nails and unkempt feet that makes me feel distinctly ill!!

I had shorts on this Sunday. It was a lovely day in the sun.........and when the wind wasn't at gale force! Quite glad I put a jumper on though.

Was a bit odd waking up Monday morning and seeing the shorts I'd been wearing the day before on my bedroom floor and then looking out the window to see we'd had snow!

I think you and Milkins are just jealous that you haven't got legs as good as mine!!

I'm wearing shorts and T-shirt at the moment.

Went out to do something earlier in them as well.

You don't feel the cold if you're on the move.
