Christmas stuff is in the shops so I take no shame in trying to make sure that if you do any Christmas shopping with those nice people at Amazon, you do so via NSC.
Last year I had the genius idea to try and tempt you to buy via our link, bribing you with the chance to win some cold hard cash. This turned out to be very successful for NSC as our affiliate income rocketed in November and December. In return we were able to pay some cash back to a couple of NSCers.
This year, I'd like to do the same thing. Briefly, this is how it works...
1. Buy as many things as you can over the next couple of months using our link our link. Keep the email order confirmations that Amazon will send you.
2. Post here telling people all about it, bouncing the thread and hopefully encouraging others to do the same.
3. At the end of December I will report our total affiliate revenue figure from Amazon and determine prizes. At the very least, I promise to pay a single prize of 10% of the money earned. However, like last year, I hope to pay at least one further prize if things have gone well.
4. I will randomly select an item (some items) from those purchased from our link our link and post the details here. If you can email me your matching order confirmation, you will win the prize.
It is worth taking a moment to highlight how important this income is to NSC's very existence. With over £6000 in the bank finances may appear to be very healthy, however last month costs pretty much matched income. With the Albion's amazing start to the season, NSC is busier than ever. Our hosting deal means our costs are variable - simply we pay for resources used - so there is a chance that NSC could very soon be cash negative every month. If that happens and the trend continues then it is a slippery slope. Christmas can provide a big boost to the finances and could offset other months in the year when incomes slips below costs incurred.
So, please, please, please buy via our Amazon link whenever you can. You can stick it in your favourites/bookmarks if that will help ensure it gets used.
Thanks to all those who make the effort both in the lead up to Christmas as well as at other times of year.
