after deciding to 'go digital', i have just got myself i shiny new digital slr. canon, of course. the newish 10D.

would recommend to anyone that is looking for a digital camera, picture quality and general cameraness is superb.

Can I borrow it match days I'm still working with its predecessors predecessor the d30. and it cost 1.5 x what yours did (although it should have cost twice as much) first used it Cambridge away 2001 was it?

the price seems to have come down a bit recently. i paid 1249 which seems to be the going rate in all shops.

there flogging the D60 in London Camera Exchange here in so'ton for 999 now too. a bargain.

I got mine in LCE in Soton Raph (Sony F717 - not a posh one like yours but good for the family pics). Found them really helpful, not like the arrogant pompous twat in Jessops who talked to me & Mrs Hiney like we were pieces of shit on his shoe.

too right! the young bird in jessops at hedge end is very helpful, got my EOS 30 from her, but the east street branch (and the ones in brighton ive used) are all 'superior sons a'bitches' as the yanks would say.

both branches of LCE are really good, always happy to help.

Yeah - to be fair, it's only one of the blokes at the Hedge End store - the one with the big fluffy hair - who was a twat but it tars their image. The young bird in there is good but the other bird in there - i can't take my eyes off her greasy hair!!!

What size is it? I've got an Olympus C-40 Zoom and take it everywhere because it's small enough to fit in my pocket yet still takes excellent pictures.

I'd be afraid of losing anything too expensive.

Couldn't agree more. High spec and easy to use. I've got one and my mate has just picked one up from Comet.com for £230.

Unfortunately I paid £300 for mine in May
