I thought it looked a pen in real time but they didn't show a replay for some reason.
Just rewatching now because after 8 or 9 hours of driving - why not?! - and they showed a replay after our second goal. Its a pen although one I'm quite happy for VAR not to get involved in.

Chris Wilder on the red card:

"The older players will be shaking their heads"
"5 or 10 years ago that would be a yellow"

f*** off you f***ing twat.
Rubbish. The only reason it’s a yellow 5 years ago is because VAR wouldn’t have been there to help the ref see it again & come to the correct decision. That’s a red today, 5 years ago, and 50 years ago.

I know not much of a day for talent spotting in a relegated team but I’ve liked Hamer across both games, could do worse than have a look at him

Sheffield United aren’t going to avoid relegation and the gulf in class between them and Brighton was colossal, a team of journeymen being taken apart by a team of well-coached, highly motivated footballers: at one point is like watching a school’s sixth form team take on the intake of first years.

On the tackle. It was actually too high to cause any damage. Studs in the thigh muscle might hurt, but is unlikely to cause serious damage.

We were lucky
Didn't Adam El-Abd take a stud to the thigh once. I'm sure there is a (not for the faint hearted) picture of the result somewhere.
