In my opinion only 5 potential starters for next season, and only a couple of weeks to pre season training. Not necessarily worried, but still a lot of vacancies.

Alledged targets signed or signing for other clubs, Crowe, Nelson, Simpson, Robinson.

Anyone know of any other potential targets or are Rus and Toni keeping very close to their chests, to stop other clubs from nipping in.

With 7 subs this season we could need at least another 7 new players, even allowing for some younsters to be on the bench.

Div 1 looking pretty strong with all the transfer activity, there will be a number of clubs who are spending big, but coulod yet disappoint.

As outsiders to punch above their weight, my tip will be Brentford, have made a couple of good signings from Dag & Red,

Leeds at 7/2 far to skinny and i expect them to disappoint again under the weight of expectation.

Saints with Keegan ? could be good or a disaster.

Down at the bottom

Carlisle
Hartlepool

These 2 must be dreading all the long trips and increased Hotel Bills !!

I also expect Yeovil to struggle together with Stockport ( if losing players as a result of Administration ) and probably Walsall and Gillingham.

From today's 'Argus':

'Wright was among Slade’s top targets on a shopping list which also includes a Championship wide player and another on loan from a Premier League club, although Dean Cox remains a central part of his plans'

As will Davies

Agreed, a good pre season against the mediocre pre season teams should give him a bit of confidence. Slade is the man to get him to perform, likewise with mcleod, who if fit i think could be a very good player.

If he doesn't perform then Davies will be out on loan.
