The lack of support at the front of Block F was fvcking embarrassing. The negative comments were non-stop with minimal attempt to get behind the team.

The old pr!ck behind me (Row B 14 Seat 143 or so?) whinged throughout with only mumbled support in the 2nd half after I'd had a pop at the cvnts attitude - then he left 10 before the end!

To my left some pr!ck sitting with mum and dad was slating Butters without seeming to notice the 4/5 headers he won in the first half!

These people should be fvcking shot - dont bother coming back you cvnts!

I dont think we should single out people for slating the team.
I was in block E yesterday, and i'm happy to admit that I was unhappy with certain performance because some players were nothing short of abysmal.
But to single people out isn't fair...we all pay for our tickets, we all have different opinions, we all have our own voices!

I appreciate that and we all moan and groan here and there but with some of these twats it was non-stop - with NO attempt at support.,

Still - probably shouldnt have been so specific on this fellas location - apologies!

B*ll*cks about not naming and shaming. These c*nts deserve everything thrown at them. Call themselves supporters?

We were in N Stand block Q seats B155 & 156 and the people behind me (C 155,156, 157 and lots more around them) were an absolute disgrace to the club.

I don’t care that we’re down on numbers, but they don’t deserve to ever get a ticket again. Many of them were saying that Lewes would have beaten us – so maybe that’s where they should go to.

I obviously didn't hear what they were saying. Maybe you'd like to add a few examples? Some players deserved stick yesterday, simple as!

I have always felt that the blind support that people like you display is quite damaging to a club. Tireless support for abysmal performances will get the team knowhere.

There were a couple of right ****s behind me in E block who moaned all the way through the game no matter what happened it wasn't good enough. I sometimes think some of these twats only come along so they've got something to moan about. Yes it was a poor performance, and the team deserved to be booed off, but you can still try to get behind the team, support them and try to give them a lift during the match.

Last time I sit there I'm going back to the singing section where at least its a bit of a laugh even when things are going wrong.

Support during the game is essential - to some clubs (blatantly not the Albion) it's the 12th man. Picking on individual players and non-stop slagging off of the team is destructive.

You pay your money and you can have a view - but whilst you can help affect the result, bloody well support the team!

But a bit more 'tireless support' could help the team turn an 'abysmal' performance round and enable us to snatch something from games like yesterday.

Fair point. It's just that when the team dont seem to be putting the effort in I prefer to shout criticism...not cheer them on.

You can't lay blame at the fans for yesterdays performance. What about the 11 men on the pitch and the gaffer!?!?
Isn't this their profession???

why should people not be singled out for slating the team, they do it to the players on the pitch so what is wrong with throwing back at them

Frankly with comments like that you are no better than them. Seems to me like you're trying to lay blame somewhere yourself. Giving players a thought or two everynow and then is part and parcel, but sinking as low as to harange your own fellow fans really is sinking low. They are entitled to their own opinion whether you agree with it or not. As a Brighton fan you should have thicker skin than that. There are people out there who moan when they're winning....

Herr T, please explain how this is damaging? Do you think that the players set out to be bad 'let's see who can play the worst and still get some support from the fans'?

My view has always been that if you can't say anything good then don't say anything at all. I thought that was what 'being a supporter' meant - the emphasis being on 'support'.

Then I'm afraid you a w@nker. There is a difference between blind support as you would have it and supporting the team to encourage them during the actual match.

Do you think that when farts like you pick on a player they will suddenly think "Ah! Good point from the expert in the stands! I really should be trying harder and have more talent. I'll jolly well improve now. Thanks for the thoughts, old chap"

Or do you think "We're having a mare and we're getting creamed and I just can't seem to get into the game, then that ungrateful git who knows f-all about football starts slagging me off. What's the f-ing point"

How can you think that venting your ignorant spleen is going to help? No wonder fans are leaving in their droves - it's not just the football, it's the ass holes in the stands too.

If we filled the ground every week we could probably afford better players.
