How the HELL does that place have a safety certificate?

Don't get me wrong, I am well aware that they were dealing with 3000 of the more "rowdy" of their club's main rival's fanbase, and I appreciate an old ground with character, and the fact that a bit of laissez-faire stewarding is always welcome, but:

Massive random steps in the concrete halfway down rows
NO seats at all where we were, just empty frames (and before you ask, they weren't ripped out by Brighton fans)
Nothing even remotely done about standing in the aisle
Nothing even remotely done about a ridiculous number of people smoking
A HUGE blind step down into the toilets

As I said, no moans about the experience last night at all, just as someone who has seen first-hand the petty rules & regulations necessary to get a ground upto various FA/FAW/UEFA standards, I am genuinely amazed they are allowed to host 20,000 people in that place (not that they ever do!).

I was thinking the same yesterday. The size of the concourse was nowhere near sufficient for the number of people. I am amazed that it has been passed as fit for use. Without the amount of wood around and dangling electrics etc, it looks like a disaster waiting to happen. (Or a godsend if it were to go up when empty!)

I am not slating your club, I am slating your ground. Well I'm not even slating it, I quite enjoyed myself there last night. Just an observation, if it helps I have often thought similar about the away stand at Brisbane Rd.

Well said ATFC Seagull . It really is a death trap waiting to happen. They should close that stand down and rearrange home and away seating in the other three - but the stand which was opposite to us is apparently as bad !

Forgotton already how great the Withdene was then, The Arthur Wait is i agree a shit stand and part of the reason we are building a new stadium, We removed many of the seats for your visits as the club thought you would prefer to have a metal stand up your arse. I can remember the toilets at the Amex not being that great, Smashed sinks, water pissing out of broken pipes, doors hanging off, you also had quite a few broken seats too.

As opposed to have an informal discussion with my fellow BRIGHTON supporters about it? Do f*** off.
