It's ironic that Mourinho has another job before Spurs have found his replacement.

A bit of a lack of forward planning there.

My only comment is that I would be seriously underwhelmed if Jose Mourinho ever became Albion manager. Anti football on big bucks.

I'd love for Spurs to go for Bielsa. I actually think he'd be a good appointment, but its more that it would cause an utter meltdown in Leeds.

Don’t know about you but Potter to Spurs would also cause me to meltdown

This is a decision that Levy and Spurs have to get right.

Kane possibly off, Mourinhio wasn’t popular with the fans, the ESL fiasco, and fans getting more militant, Suprs finishing below Chelsea and West Ham, massive debt.If Levy gets it wrong again with this appointment he could be toast, therefore I can’t see him taking a punt on Potter.

A lot of eyebrows were raised when we extended his contract after only a few months here. However, IIRC that was done because there was talk then of him being poached.

IF that contract was awarded for that reason, partly or fully, then MAYBE it also contains terms that would put off a poaching club or even make GP think twice about moving on???

They’ve just been talking about this on TalkSPORT but it had started before I had started listening

Basically they were saying that he’d be mad to leave Brighton as the project was on going

I don’t know who one of the blokes was but he said Brighton are only a striker away from pushing for European places, he then went on to say that if we could sign Abraham he would be the missing link

I know we talk about it all the time but this was someone on the outside saying it

He also went on to say a number of our players would walk into the Arsenal team and it was really good to hear

Simon Jordan then went on to say some really good things about us too

In short they said Potter would do himself more good in the long term by staying here

All the above makes total sense, I can not see Potter leaving at this point to join a "top six" team.
I can see an improved contract on the wage front though, and in fairness probably deserved.

Because of Tottenham's alleged debt that will need servicing, Tottenham are in danger of becoming a selling club and falling backwards not striving forward.

Aparently he's 5th favouritte right now, but my Spurs mates have started taking a real interest in him.

Mind you, on 5Live at the weekend, they were all agreeing that Eddie Howe was the obvious choice, which surprised me somewhat!

The Alan Brazil Talk Sport show (or is that talk shite?) were discussing us this morning and mentioned Potter potentially going to Spurs. I have a lot of time for Brazil and McCoist but Jamie O'Hara talks out of his backside. Never a pundit and said that Potter was not a name. Well Mr O'Hara you keep thinking that way fella. We are happy to keep him. :dunce:

Conti's odds have shortened a fair bit this morning.

He fell out with his neighbour Thierry Henry, so would probably go down quite well with the Spuds fans...
