Has anybody ever watched elephant football on Indian TV?

A bunch of untrained, weighty beasts, lumbering around a pitch and hoofing the ball in whichever direction is convenient at the time.

Reminds me of something...but I can't think what.

Well at least that untrained, weighty beast, lumbering around a pitch hoofing the ball in whichever direction is convenient at the time, seems to know where the goal is.

<hastily checks The Laws of Association Football handbook>

Hmmm, well I can't SEE anything that says new signings are restricted to the two-legged variety...and he looks pacier than one or two of ours....

To be fair, you may be right.

Definitely looks like Withdean in the background.

Brilliant. If we're going to blow our big chance of getting to Wembley against the worst team in the country, I was looking for as small an audience as possible. In an ideal world even the Luton fans would be locked out.

Don't wish to be picky but Luton aren't the worst team in the country. If they hadn't had 30 points deducted they would be mid-table (admittedly in a league lower than ours)

Ahem. There's also the small matter of the Blue Square Premier, Blue Square North & South, Rymans League, .......................

Edna, I think you are my favourite poster.

In E block we have adopted the moniker Twiggy for Mr McLeod in homage to the Royle family character.

"Can I have a leg please Barb".

"For starters, we're having Cup-a-soup, with a twist"

"Oooh [claps], what's the twist, our Denise?"

"It's in a bowl"
