Can anyone tell me really what,s going on with the new seats at Withdean?
It is now 3 years since MP began the saga of (much needed extra seats and thus revenue)
I read we got planning permission a year ago!

If and when we get the ok from Prescott does our worthy CEO have the wherewithall and knowhow to get on and build??

Chairman,if you read these columns please give us some comfort!!

We did get planning permission a year ago.

One resident in Withdean with more money than sense is challenging the legality of the planning permission.

One of the locals has blocked the application by involving the European Court of Human Rights.

Apparently he thinks his free view of games at Withdean would be blocked by the new seats.

Whether that last bit is a fact or a new urban myth the fact of the matter is that this football club, (despite being near perfect neighbours since we moved in to Withdean) is still being fcuked over by a handful of blue rinse fcuking nimbys. I was going to call them fcuking blue rinse tory nimbys but thought I'd keep party politics out of it seeing as I'm in Deep Shit has enough to worry about this morning.

I am not sure he applied to Europe....he instructed a legal team to challenge the legallity of the planning decision, and I think with all the stuff going on with Falmer and the Park and Ride at Crowhurst Road, the Albion have put it on the back burner until the Falmer application is approved.

It would be interesting to see what will happen when we have been granted the go ahead for Falmer and we get promotion back to the first division next year. I assume every last penny in the club will go to Falmer.....therefore there is no point putting any more money into Withdean as it is good money after bad. What the board do with players will be the interesting one.

I would certainly like to see us remain in the top division as long as possible so we start at Falmer with a decent team ( I have written off any possiblity of getting to the premiershite in my lifetime)

It would have cost us too much to argue the case i believe so we didn't. Its incredible how ONE person can get away with this.

I say we all chip in and challenge any building in the Brighton and Hove area that WE don't agree with, i don't care if thousands of others want it.

I thought Perry said, in his last seagulls world bulletin that the legalities would be finished by end of october and that consruction of the seat would start in late November to open in January.
