To be fair to Gareth, he was just explaining why he wasnt going to renew.....I am not sure why the personal attack on him ( dead horses etc)

would that be the one in response to insinuations about being on the club payroll or getting benefits etc?

I cannot see any venom in my post I was just explaining how it is, the insults about Horses ( DO ) and my mental frame of mind ( I assume this is due to me not just praising the club and football at the time ) was uncalled for.

It was an example of posts that you have made - however my comment about downer was intended to reflect your view after matches (when we win you are joyous and when we lose or fail to win when we should you are doom laden). It was not a comment about your mental state. If that is how you have taken it (and Dave has too) then apologies.

I have no doubt whatsoever that we will get promoted next season, so yes (though I'd renew it even if I thought we'd get relegated).

I am somehwta surprised the reaction to some people on here to those who are not going to renew.

Not renewing does not make you a bad fan.

Contrary to popular opinion, the club is not a charity, although some of the comments " I will give my money to support the club anyway" is fair enough to those who take that attitude, but there are lots who dont.

My Brother in law and I have both had a ST since we have been back at Withers ( I had one at The Goldstone for many years) but on saturday we had both decided that enough was enough. Its expensive, you can get tickets on a match day anyway, we dont use the transport option, when we cant make a game, you cant give the tickets away and finally more importantly, we have both become tired of the whole scenario....3 goals at home since the beginning of the year, shite football and when being honest, the only think I like about withdean is the pub before, that chats/banter with other fans...that is it.

That is my reasoning and its a personal one. If people say by having this attitude then LDC have won...well perhaps they have.

On saturday, some people in the ground paid £5 to watch that...I didnt. that is a fact.

If the albion dropped the prices I may be tempted, otherwise, I will buy as I am going along. If we are then doing well I may get a 10 match one as they are now offering,

in that case - I have no idea. I must have just been having a nasty moment :p

Nah its gareth...he is MAD.

Anyone who does as much as him for the REMF and gets the amount of stick he does, although he does put his head above the paraphet, must be stark raving bonkers.

2 separate issues, Dave. The REMF work is universally admired and anyone who gives him stick for that is beyond contempt. IT's the usual...why should I pay out for another season ticket crap that gets him stick.

Look, if you want to renew then do. I'd really appreciate it if you did bit if you don't want to renew then don't. Don't whinge about it and don't expect others to beg you for it or kiss your arses if you then choose to renew. It's all a bit tedious now.

When exactly did we play exciting top-flight football in a state of the art stadium recently because as far as I can remember for the last 20 years we've been a lower league side playing in a crap stadium with sod all resources available. You've known this for a long time.

I totally agree with you....I just give people my opinion of what I feel and that of some of the people sitting around us. That is all...its just an opinion as is Gareths.

As I said originally the only issue I have is where people call you a bad fan for not renewing, that is all.

To my mind the only bad Albion fan is someone who gives the Albion a bad name. If you support the Albion in any capacity and can get the opportunity to watch them even if only very infrequently then you're a fan in my eyes.

Not renewing is a personal choice. If you don't, then so be it. It certainly doesn't make anyone a 'bad fan', whatever that is.

There is a fine line though, between explaining your reasons for not doing so, and almost encouraging others to follow suit. If you are actively encouraging people not to renew, by repeatedly spelling out the reasons why you feel they should not, then you are doing the club no favours.

Prices
Withdeam £23.50

Swansea £15 (nice new Stadium too)
Tranmere £16.50
Northampton £18 (nice new-ish Stadium)

suprised that people are getting hacked off with things this season?

If I was a consumer then I would treat my football club like I treat my shopping.

However I dont go to a pub for the price of the beer.

right US - I have had no sleep last night due to Junior being very snuffly and have had to cancel a days leave and am working from home.

I then find this usual venom posted by you.

So very subtley

NSC IS NOT A TRUE REPRESENTATION OF ALBION FANS. WE ALL KNOW YOUR OPINION AS YOU HAVE TOLD US ON NUMEROUS BLOODY OCCASIONS.

NOW PLEASE IF YOU HAVE NOTHING NEW TO SAY - GO AND PLAY WITH THE WHITE LINES ON THE A23

Thank you :p

I normally get to say that, but use Beachy Head rather than the A23.

However sir, well said.
